Brillow GWPs
Before Rhonda Haukoos joined forces with Jim West, she fell in love with the German Wirehaired Pointer (GWP). She worked hard and finished her first GWP in both the show ring and the field. He was DC/AFC Soo Line's Allied Freighter, "Ansel". She has gone on to finish multiple show champions, field champions, an amateur champion (before going Professional), a couple of National Champions and a bunch of great hunting and family dogs. She is also the breeder of the first German Wirehaired Pointer to win the prestigious 1-hour stake at the
AKC National Pointing Breeds Gun Dog Championship,
NGDC/FC Brillow's Big Wild Western.

Miss Kitty was the 2009 GWPCA #1 Open Gun Dog...the same year that she won the National Championship.
Miss Kitty's son, NGDC/FC Brillows Big Wild Western, won the 2011 GWPCA Derby Classic, was 3rd in the Field Futurity and was Runner-up in the National Championship at just over 18 months old. He went on to finish his Field Championship at 20 months old. At the tender age of 3 yrs 1 mo he made history, being the first GWP to win the AKC National Pointing Breeds Gun Dog Championship!
Her daughter, FC Uodibar's Freebee, was Runner-up to her brother in the 2011 GWPCA Derby Classic and was declared the Winner of the Field Futurity. She placed fourth in the GWPCA National Championship and was the GWPCA's #1 Open Gun Dog in 2012.
The second litter is just a year old. Several of them are pointed and placed in the field and show. They are starting the process of being broke so they can compete in the Field Futurity this fall. We look forward to sharing the progress of these youngsters with you, too!!
